Artist, Designer, Educator.

In my Hafnarfjörður studio I create artworks, illustrations, educational design pieces and occasionally partake in and organize various community events.

My work celebrates the thing that is far too easy to lose but makes all the difference to our survival and wellbeing : community. It reflects how I learn to understand and care for myself with the help of the communities around me. It shows how nurturing community is when faced with racial prejudices, heteronormative surroundings and ableist ignorance, and how empowering it is when we’re given the chance to celebrate and support each other.

I create mixed media artworks primarily in reclaimed paper and glass, and illustrate and design both in handcrafted and digital mediums. To stay informed and inspired I collaborate with local, intersectional collectives and organisations such as R.E.C Arts Reykjavík, Samtökin ‘78, LÍS & Q-Félag Hinsegin Stúdenta.

Currently I’m availible for freelance illustration work. Feel free to reach out anytime for further information.
